How do you cope at a job where you get no respect?

I work at a really prestigious company. The coworkers dont get along everybody is always out to get somebody and the managers have no respect for you whatsoever. Everyday I come in to do my work and the managers knick pick and find a reason to write you up for every little thing. When you speak up for yourself they dont like it and want you to run around like a little kid all day long and ask can you do this and can you do that, its crazy and stressful. They talk to you any kind of way and always making annoucements that its to many people working in our department. I know its a recession but how do I cope with this?How do you cope at a job where you get no respect?
Since respect has to be earned before it is received, do not expect it. But do give it, whether the rest of them notice or not -- ';what goes around, comes around.';

Hunker down, do your job, and do not put too much weight on all the hoohah around you. This is not a recession! It is a depression, and it is still early enough in the depression that many people do not know what they are up against, what they are really dealing with, or how to deal with it. Let these chickens run around with their heads chopped off until they drop. You hunker down and keep going -- and have a Plan B ready for action if that whole mess goes down the tubes. That is entirely possible.How do you cope at a job where you get no respect?
keep your head down, do your work diligently. Recession wont last for ever, so make sure you are doing stuff that would be transferable to another company and do any training that available. Recession wont last for ever.
That's any and every company I've ever worked for. Grin and bear it.
