How to get along with a coworker who is controlling?

I work with a girl who is a really sweet, kind person but she is a controlling person who constantly wants to do the ';productive'; work while indirectly forcing me to do the ';grunt'; work. We have have indirect dissucions thru our office manager and I agreed to relax and now that she supossedly knew how I felt she would try to change, well everything was wonderful. Two months later and here we are again, I get pissed, she cries and everyone feels sorry for her because she is soo sweet, well I am sick of it. I have a really good job and am paid well but I cant take her anymore, any advise on what to do??How to get along with a coworker who is controlling?
There are 2 things you can do.



Change your attitude, or change your address.



You have already done the things that you can do. You have approached your supervisor. You have talked to her.



I would go to my boss one last time and explain that it worked fine for 2 months and you don't want to have to go through this every 2 months.



You can try to beat her to some of the productive work and leave some grunt for her. You can ask that the division of responsibilities be laid out so there is a fair distribution of the work load.



You can start looking for something else in the event that things don't work out. But jobs are hard to come by in todays economy. Good luck.How to get along with a coworker who is controlling?
Tell her like it is !!! Thats the only way with control freaks like her. Don't be fooled by the tears - its just another way of getting her own way xxxx
Use your chain of command, prove to them what is going on.
Mention to that office manager that the tears are her way of manipulating to get her way and just because you don't cry for sympathy doesn't mean your feelings shouldn't matter too...and tell the manager to mange that coworker, it what he is paid for!
Best to move on to a new job in the company. She will not change. You must get away from her or else she will drive you crazy.
